The Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) is situated in the Technological Park of Barcelona and is distinguished as a reference centre in areas related to Manufacturing technologies, developing technological transfer projects, research and formation for industriesThe Foundation was created in 2005, as the final culmination of the transformation of the ancient Centre CIM, which was made in 1990 by UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia) and ICT (Catalan Technological Institute) with the mission of aiding professionals to improve their technology and innovative capacity in the field of Production Technologies.

Since its establishment, the CIM Centre has been very active in R + D + i for the industrial environment and has participated in many projects financed in European, national, autonomic i (FP5, 6 and 7, CENIT, Plan Nacional I + D + i, CIT, PROFIT, Nuclis, Valorització, etc.).

Microgravity experiment with ESA

Study of the behavior in microgravity biological agents. To perform the experiment, researchers have developed an electromechanical machine capable of biotechnology experiments carried out, in zero gravity in an automated way. + info

SENSOSEP

Study of a new process of waste separation of heterogeneous materials from the application of new sensors or technologically improved existing sensors, prepared for the separation of materials or components resulting from operations of compaction and subsequent homogenization by grinding.
